Social media figure Ricci Wynne arrested on human trafficking charges – US News – News
A social media figure known for his videos denouncing drug use and homelessness in San Francisco has been nabbed on human trafficking charges.
Ricci Wynne, 39, faced the music in court on Wednesday, slapped with one count of pimping and one count of pandering by procuring.
Wynne is not the only social media figure to face trafficking charges; Andrew and Tristian Tate have both been arrested two times for alleged human trafficking.
It’s alleged that Wynne, who has battled addiction himself, had phones brimming with evidence ads featuring a woman and texts about her availability for sex in return for cash, not to mention the dough collection.
San Francisco’s top prosecutor made it clear, “Holding those accountable who engage in the sexual exploitation of women will always be a priority of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office,” as Jenkins put it.
Wynne, meanwhile, has thrown a not guilty plea at all charges, per the DA’s office.

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles coughed up close to $1 billion in a mega sex abuse settlement for the record books.
Wynne got the cuffs slapped on him Monday at the San Francisco International Airport, as reported by Fox affiliate KTVU.com. The arrest followed a run-in involving Wynne and an unidentified woman at the airport.
That clash led to a search at a Fremont Street home and, ultimately, Wynne’s arrest, though what the search turned up remains a mystery.
Wynne, a self-proclaimed “video vigilante” and active figure in San Francisco’s political circle, especially with the WE San Francisco group dedicated to addressing the city’s most severe issues, was touted as a crucial member of their campaign team. His contributions focused on bringing attention to citywide problems.
Currently, Wynne is being held at the San Francisco County Jail without the possibility of posting bail, pending his preliminary hearing set for Dec. 12.
The San Francisco Police Department urges anyone with insights about the case to reach out by calling (415) 575-4444 or texting TIP411 with the message beginning with “SFPD.”
