Coast Guard stops boat carrying 21 unlawful immigrants heading towards San Diego

The U.S. Coast Guard on Monday night intercepted a ship carrying 21 unlawful immigrants from three international locations headed towards San Diego.

U.S. Customs and Border Safety notified Coast Guard officers on the Joint Harbor Operations Focus on 10:45 p.m. of a 40-foot panga-style vessel touring north roughly 40 miles from the maritime boundary line, the Coast Guard mentioned in a Wednesday press launch.

Two Coast Guard cutter groups, with assist from CBP, had been capable of cease the boat, at which level they found that it was carrying 21 passengers.
