A toddler was reportedly killed in a horrific attack by a leopard while playing in his backyard, reports the Mirror UK. 

Local reports indicate that the two-year-old-boy was attacked by the large cat in Sharhama village, located in the disputed region of North Kashmir’s Handwara area in India, on Friday evening local time.

After discovering the toddler in a pool of blood, locals rushed him to the health center in Qalamabad for treatment.

Despite the best efforts of doctors, the child, identified as Hasnain Nisar and the only child in his family, died from his injuries in another shocking animal attack, similar to that of one-year-old Jiryiah Johnson who was mauled by.a pack of bitbulls and four-year-old Heitor Livramento Cardoso who was killed by thee famliy dog. 

It is believed that he was playing in his home garden when the attack occurred. This incident is one of several where individuals have been killed by wild animals in the country, with leopards being captured following similar attacks in the border region between Pakistan and India.

According to local reports, there have been six wildlife attacks in the region in recent months, leading to ongoing frustration among residents towards wildlife officials.

On October 20, the leopard suddenly sprinted towards the group and assaulted several individuals. Footage from the scene shows the big cat barreling towards the crowd, causing people to scatter in fear.

A man was seen being knocked to the ground and mauled by the leopard as screams echoed from onlookers.

The Times of India identified the man attacked in the video as 23-year-old Akash Kushwaha, noting that local reports mentioned an off-duty police officer and a woman were also injured in the incident.
